One More Day

One more day, one more try,
To save myself, save my life.
If only I, no one else at all,
Has any hope, any withdraw,
For why I wake up, move on,
Without a razor blade, a gun,
To straighten out, reattempt,
This life, this creation meant,
To endure, as well as cherish,
Before a downfall and perish.
One more day, one more fight,
To gain control, regain sight,
Of why I’m here, why you are,
Near me right now, even at all,
If you break me, destroy my,
Spirit, just one word at a time,
And I hang my head, in shame,
Like a dog, starved, in the rain,
Wanting your love, your hand,
And make me a person, a man.
One more day is one less day,
To express words I must say,
As fast as I can, as clearly,
To whom I love, love dearly,
So they don’t think they are,
The one to blame, or at fault,
For the mistakes, the choices,
Killing me, leaving me voiceless,
Before I can tell them not to,
Lead this same life that I do,
In sorrow, in agony, so they,
Can wish for just one more day.
